Picture up left=Finally I purchased my cow, Gateway 2000 G6-180.
Picture down left= IBM Aptiva 760 dethroned by new cow is now standing as my second machine on my desk, but not hookek up to internet any more.
( I bet I will let you stay on my desk till the turn of the century. So don't feel disgraced nor disappointed!)
For the past ten years I have been using some ten pesonal computers.
That means I changed my machine one after another almost every year.
Starting with Toshiba J3100, then Dell computer 286 , AT compatible machine by Step, IBM PS/2 model 70, IBM PS/V Entry ,IBM APTIVA760 etc.
I can't count them up any more. But most of the are IBM compatibles.
Right now I have several computers sleeping in my room, but frivolously I wake them up and play together.
Most of them are secondhand ones or the Parts of which I got from people I came to know through Niftyserves Bulletin Board.
So I should say my old machines are sort of Franken Stein revived by collecting computer parts. To me they are special, though my family reproached me saying your room is very close to junk shop.
I am determined to keep all these old machines to the end of this century so I'II open up the museum of the old computers some day.
This new gateway machine G6-180 is the brandnew one. For the first time in 8 years I bought the brand new one since I purchased Toshiba's Dynabook SS.
I feel a little bit discouraged to miss the chance of Moo moo cushion 'cause I ordered it before the sales promotion had begun. I should have ordered my machine only one day later.
In spite of my bad luck, I love my gateway machine.
